Abstract

Sustainability is a major shift that is occurring in the fashion industry whereby consumers, businesses, and policymakers are now focusing on this subject. Growing environmental degradation, unethical production processes and excessive wastes have forced the fashion brands to resort to strategic marketing to sustainability as its strategy. This paper will analyze how sustainability in fashion marketing, especially, the use of eco-friendly activities, can help in creating customer confidence and profitability. The study examines how consumers view sustainability marketing and how green practices affect the development of trust, as well as to what extent sustainability-based branding has positive effects on business-related profitability indicators like brand loyalty, readiness to spend higher prices, and intentions to repurchase products. A quantitative research design was adopted and survey data was used in analyzing the sampled fashion consumers who are aware of sustainability efforts done by fashion brands. The results indicate that sustainability marketing gains strong brand image, and it has a positive impact on consumer attitudes. Transparency, ethical sourcing, and environmental responsibility were also discovered to be strong predictors of consumer trust, which are eco-friendly practices. Further, the findings show that sustainability marketing can significantly influence the profitability by ensuring consumer loyalty and repeat buying behavior, which in turn promotes long-term financial performance. The paper can conclude that marketing sustainability is not a symbolic or ethical project but rather a business strategy that enhances consumer relations and financial results. When fashion companies combine genuine environmental sustainable practices in marketing and business operations, it can offer a competitive advantage, increase trust and long term profitability. The paper provides a practical value to fashion marketers who want to achieve environmental responsibility and commercial success in one.
