Gratitude has remained a focus for philosophers, psychologists, and theologians because of its constructive role in overall well-being. Gratitude has a significant place in many religions, such as Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism, and particularly in Islam. This research aims to achieve a thorough understanding of gratitude from an Islamic perspective. Further, a systematic review of the literature is used to compare perspectives on Gratitude in Islam and in positive psychology. Gratitude is given paramount importance in the Holy Qur’an and hadiths of the Prophet (PBUH). The Databases used were Google, Google Scholar, PubMed, Research Gate, and Science Direct. The keywords used were Gratitude, Islam, perspective, Qur’an, and positive psychology. Synthesis of Literature emphasizes the extraordinary significance of Gratitude in Islam, identifying it as a principal part of faith and a significant contributor to individuals’ overall well-being. In Islam, Gratitude is of two types: one directed towards Allah Almighty (GOD), and the second concerning people. The present study will make a significant contribution to the literature on the Islamic perspective on gratitude and positive psychology.
